Daniel Clark presents a superb reference to historical grimoires so you can conveniently find a specific text to improve your personal research and magical practice.
The grimoire is not only an indispensable tool for the working magician, but it also offers a glimpse of a world that very few have seen or understood. The nobility class had the most impressive grimoire collections throughout history, and now we can enjoy those once-restricted magical texts in public and university libraries around the world. However, they're sometimes hidden in plain sight due to misidentification.
Daniel Clark presents an essential reference to well-known library collections, plus a few obscure ones, and the individuals who brought those collections together. For each entry, Daniel also provides a reproduction of either the existing library catalog or the auction catalog from when the original collection was acquired. Whether you want a text for magical purposes or are simply curious about it, this reference makes the search easy.
